Also, I have a second journal on LJ, under the name, GracedLace. Feel free to check that out. It's an open journal, and more like a blog.
I am a very one-of-a-kind gal, but that's not to be mistaken for being odd! I'm a 47 year old upper midwestern wife who is married to a totally wonderful still-waters-run-deep type of a man. We're oh so opposite from each other, yet ever so much the same. DH is a farmer/rancher, while I am a full time speech/language pathologist in several schools.
The most tragic thing to rock my world happened late May of 2007. My 80 year old mother attempted to take her own life, ended up in ICU, and was eventually moved to a hospice room until God called her home on May 25th. My big brother and I had the gift of being able to stay right with her until her passing. This has been a life-changing event for me. From this, my faith only grows stronger, my awe of God is far greater, and my thankfulness for my own life is much deeper. Obviously, I am still grieving and learning along the way.
